Cemetary Mausoleums or tombs as they were referred to in Biblical times are another form of burial. A cemetary mausoleum is for above ground internment, a long time tradition among some cultures and religions. Cemetary mausoleums come pre-assembled from the manufacturer and are installed on a cement base, similar to a house foundation. Weighing thousands of pounds cemetary mausoleums require installation by a crane which removes it from a shipping truck to the location in the cemetery.
There are three styles of cemetary mausoleums; a top loading which means the top is removed for interment or a walk-in which has a door that opens into a small room and the bodies are interred on the side. Cemetary mausoleums are for a single person or many people. In some cities large granite or marble buildings are constructed as cemetary mausoleums and many people are interred there. A cemetary mausoleum has a large area for engraving names, dates, history and art designs
